Who We Are
Since 1972, the South Central Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission (SCIRPDC) has been serving Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, and Marion counties by providing grant, planning, transportation, and financial services that support community and economic development.
Our Mission
To enhance economic development and quality of life for our regional citizens.
What We Do
SCIRPDC provides grant services, planning assistance, transportation planning, and financial programs that help communities pursue projects, secure funding, and support long-term growth. We partner with organizations across the region to address community and economic development needs.
As the region's designated Economic Development District (EDD), SCIRPDC also plays an important role in regional economic development planning through the development and implementation of the region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
Who We Serve
SCIRPDC works with local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout our five-county region. We assist communities and organizations with planning, funding opportunities, infrastructure improvements, economic development initiatives, and other projects that improve quality of life and strengthen regional growth.
